Tuesday, August 5:
We were hoping the rain would stay away so that we could play cornhole, but no such luck, it started pouring not too long after we arrived. Most of us were all settled in before the rain, thank goodness!
We had the quonset rented for the day for our potluck. At our last potluck we had at least five pots of meatballs, so yay! No meatballs this time! We had stew and two chicken dishes for meat, about six salads, and two desserts (Janet's homemade raspberry tarts, and Bev's delicious cookie sheet cake). It was a very good meal.
After supper some of us stayed and played a card game called "Sweep" or "19" and had a blast. Here are Harv, Nancy, Alan, Bob, Marlene C, and Alanna at one table:

Wednesday, August 6:
Wednesday morning Janet, Doug, and their helpers made us an "omelet in a bag" breakfast. The individual baggies were filled with eggs, onions, peppers, ham, and cheese, then cooked in hot water. Here is Janet filling up Ralph's and Bev's bags:

There was also fruit, toast, and hash browns to go with the omelets. Here Doug and Marlene C are passing out their cooked omelets to Alan and Pat, while Roger and Fred are loading up with everything else:

Alanna was in charge of mini-golf this time, set the rules, and was in charge of deciding who won trophies and for what. She did a wonderful job. Winners were announced at happy hour, and only the winners got trophies:

Thursday, August 7:
Rain, again! We rented the quonset again for the afternoon games, at a very reasonable rate. We set up the cornhole game and some played that:

Friday, August 8:
We had coffee on our agenda for the morning, but since it is unusual most people didn't notice. Harv and Nancy (me) sat out and were joined by Ed, who did notice, and slowly people started joining us as they noticed us sitting out while they were packing up to leave. Janet suggested we all say what we enjoyed most about the campout (they do that in her square dancing group) and people quite enjoyed all the comments. All in all, it was a nice ending to the campout.
