Thanks to Fred, Gus, Marlene, and Alanna for sending me their pictures. I don't always remember to take them, and sometimes I'm not at the event. I didn't get pictures of everything, but hopefully the pictures I do have will help remind you of the fun week we had! To start - Gus' video of the opening ceremonies:
After opening ceremonies and speeches from the guests, awards were handed out. Gus and Barb won the free spring rally registration (again). I missed Vince presenting it to them, but at least got a picture of them with their cheque!
Alan and Alanna won the $20 gift certificate to Mulligans from the draw of the wrist band numbers.

After the opening ceremonies the Affinity Credit Union dished us up ice cream, and our own Sunshine Sams handed it out and applied chocolate and/or caramel as wanted:
We got our Sunshine Sams banner up! Now everyone knows where to go for happy hour! The "first" ribbons are for first timers at the rally, and Alan and Alanna participated in pretty well everything:

The ladies social was a huge success. Maria (the better half of the Provincial Director) arranged it for the women in all eight of our chapters. Pretty well everyone had homemade hats, and our chapter's theme of yellow flower fascinators was well received. From the back left - Marlene C, Bev, Carolynn, Pat C, Alanna, Janet, Barb:

We made Christmas cards, all of us starting with the same materials, listening to the instructor (who was very difficult to hear, as the gals were having a great time visiting), and then giving up trying to follow the instructions and making the cards however they wanted - worked out really well! Friday night we had free hamburgers paid for by Provincial and cooked and served to us by the Saskatoon chapter, Sunseeker Sams:
After we ate Gus entertained us on the accordion, with Doug providing comedy relief:

And later a gal from one of the other chapters joined Gus. She played the keyboard and sang but I'm afraid I did not hear her name and don't really recognize the chapter vest. Anyone who does, please let me know and I'll update the blog:
Saturday morning we had the Pet Parade. Marlene was in charge, with Pat C as her helper:

The raffle winners were announced, and two of our members won items. Alanna won some patio lights, and Barb won a wooden bowl. These two take all the prizes! If you noticed earlier Barb and Gus won the free registration (for the second year in a row), and Alanna and Alan won a gift certificate to Mulligans, were in the winner's circle with one of their dogs, and one of the 50/50's and I think Alanna won something at Samgo (Bingo). We do have one other lucky winner in our chapter - Bev won one of the 50/50's too! I was going to get a picture of her with her ticket and it just never happened.
After lunch a group played bean bag baseball. The weather was not very good so the turnout was also not very good, which was just as well because it started to rain so they had to play indoors, and there is only room for one game indoors:

Doug and their daughter's family brought cake and served it to all of us. It looks like there was enough left over for them too:
For supper we went out to Danceland in Manitou. The fellow who manages Danceland (or at least the catering) is about seven feet tall! He let me take this picture of him standing in a regular doorway. I did not think to get his name. He served us a very nice supper:
